School Timing
  • CLASS LKG to IX: 9.00AM to 3:45PM
  • CLASS X to XII: 7.30 AM to 5:30PM
School Transport
  • School transport will function for those opted.
  • The transport team will be in touch with the parents who have opted for school transport regarding the pickup and drop timings.
  • Students availing school transport should be present at the designated pickup spot at least 5 minutes before the alerted pickup time. Parents are requested to be prepared for possible delays in the initial few days for the pickup which will be soon regularized.
  • Parents are requested to send the children by school bus from day one; this will help the child to adjust to the school routine easily.
  • All students will be escorted to the bus bay by the staff and they will be assisted in boarding the appropriate buses.
  • Please make sure the person who is authorized to take up the student is there at the drop-off location on time. Please be informed that in case of non-availability of the person, the student will not be dropped and will be brought back to school for safety reasons.
  • Change of school transport or discontinuation from using the transport is not encouraged. In any such case, prior approval from the principal is required.
  • The van coordinators and facilitators will oversee the process of boarding the proper buses throughout the year.

Parent Drop and Pickup
  • Students who have preferred self-transport/commutation must be in school by 8:45 AM.
  • Please do not park the vehicles in front of the school as it causes traffic congestion and disrupts the flow of vehicles.
  • Dispersal will be done at the respective classrooms.
Uniform
  • It is mandatory for all students to come in full school uniform every day. The school has a uniform code and grooming policy detailed in the school diary, which should be strictly adhered to.
  • Sports uniform must be worn compulsorily on the prescribed day.
  • For any celebration held at school, students should wear appropriate attire according to the intimation sent from the school.
Discipline
  • “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”
  • Wearing an ID card is mandatory. If any student has not received it or has lost it, this should be reported to the school office for further procedure.
  • Students must keep their hair neat, tidy, and well-combed. Girls should plait their hair and must not let it hang loose below the shoulders.
  • Regular nail trimming is advised.
  • Children should not wear gold ornaments to school, and the school will not take responsibility for the loss of any jewellery.
PRE KG TO V
  • Children have to bring a hand towel, healthy snacks, and sufficient water in a labelled basket.
  • Students should carry a spoon and a lunch towel along with their lunch boxes.
  • Students should not bring any plastic items inside the school campus, as we are strictly following the ‘NO TO PLASTIC’ program. As an alternative, they can bring stainless steel, wooden, or jute items to school.
Safety and First Aid
  • In case of any illness or injuries during school hours, the child will be given basic first aid and the parent will be informed immediately. In case of emergency, the child will be taken to the tie-up hospital after informing the parents.
  • Students should strictly follow the safety rules and instructions while in the classroom and while moving from one place to another.
  • The POCSO committee at the school will address any issues, such as harassment, that students may experience. The committee orients staff and students about verbal and non-verbal safety measures. Gender sensitivity, anti-bullying, and anger management are emphasized in Value Education classes. Concerns can be submitted via the suggestion box available on campus.
  • CCTV cameras have been installed in each bus, classroom, corridor, and playground to ensure efficiency and better monitoring for the children's safety.
  • Our campus is a tobacco- and drug-free zone. At Vidhyalakshmi School, we give equal importance to the mental and emotional health of students.
No Bag Day and Other Activities
  • At “Vidhyalakshmi School” on “No Bag Day,” students come to school only with their lunch bags and do not carry school bags. This day emphasizes learning by doing, involving students in skill-based learning, art & craft activities, role-play, storytelling, projects, and both indoor and outdoor games.
  • Any materials required for the activities will be informed to the students in advance.
  • All details regarding “No Bag Day” and other activities will be mentioned in the diary for reference.
Co-curricular activities (Classes III to IX)
  • Students can opt for any two activities from vocals, zumba, keyboard, guitar, Karate, Silambam, Classical Dance, or Western Dance. Students are instructed to carry their Karate dress.
  • Grading for Karate and Silambam will be awarded at the end of the academic year.
Academic Instructions
  • According to the timetable, students must bring their books every day (the reopening day will be a full working day). Refer to the student homework book for the timetable.
  • After the reopening of the school, pending books and notebooks will be distributed. If any book or notebook is lost, it must be reported to the school office. A replacement can be provided upon payment.
  • The school has a wide range of clubs that promote learning by combining recreational and educational factors.
  • Slip tests will be conducted periodically to prepare the students for examinations with ease.
  • Error correction and weekend homework assignments should be completed with utmost sincerity.
Examination
  • Portions, question paper patterns, and examination guidelines for students will be shared with parents well in advance.
  • Refer to the school handbook for the examination schedule and duration.
Remedial Classes
  • Our commitment to academics is proving our excellence. We cater to the needs of the individual student. On the basis of performance analysis, remedial classes for the students will be conducted after the school hours.
Students Discipline
  • Students of the school are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets to school.
  • Any form of violence on the school premises is strictly prohibited and will lead to serious action from the management.
PTM and Open House
  • Parents and guardians of all students should attend the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) to track the progress of their wards.
  • Open House will be conducted after every exam, and report cards will be distributed accordingly.
Communication
  • Parents can meet the class teachers only during PTM or Open House, or with prior appointments. Coordinators and the school head are available on all working days with prior appointments. Kindly confirm appointments with the class teachers either by call or in person.
  • Parents are requested to communicate with the school only through the school diary.
  • Homework messages and all other information will be sent through WhatsApp.
  • For long absentees during the March and April session, or for clarifications regarding textbooks, notebooks, or any other dues, please contact the school office.
